Is there a website for getting price quotes from AD's across the country?
I am looking to buy a new Rolex Submariner for my dad. Is there a reliable website where I can get price quotes from authorized dealers across the country? The prices for these things can vary a lot depending on how much discount the dealer is willing to give.

No AD is gonna post "we discount Rolex" as it is a direct violation. Rolex is pulling AD's left and right. You need a developed relationship with an AD to get a discount from them.... or bring in a trade. They mat give you a decent amount for your trade and sell you the new Rolex at retail. Good luck. There is a list of MSRP's floating around somewhere.

That's exactly right. A dealer in Chicago got IWC support pulled when a representative was able to walk in and get a discounted quote. The dealers have to know you - to an extent specifically know you're not a company rep - before they cut you a deal. In general though, depending on make and model, you could pay as little as 65%; for example, my dad won't pay more than 65% for new Breitling or 70% for new IWC and I've seen Richard Mille watches go for as little as 50% their original retail, but those are over-priced.

As Blair said will never happen for ADs. You will find grey market advertising a price on a lnib model or even "email for pricing".
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.

I thought getting 10%-20% off retail on luxury watches was pretty common, I read this read before posting here: Will Auth Dealers Give a Discount?
In fact in Park City one of the stores offered me 20% off on a Breitling without me even asking, just so they could make a sale.

your dad, and the rest of the watch buying world, is going to have to come to terms with reality, those days of daddy walking in any breitling dealer and getting 35% off like you said are LONG gone, that would be the dealers selling at cost now! the average brand has significantly reduced the dealers discount in the last year or 2, as well as strictly reduced discount in may different ways. cartier has closed 60% of their doors in the us, they don't mess around, neither does rolex, breitling or any of the big brands. 10, SOMETIMES 20 percent are all you are going to be seeing in the futirs from most big brands, they are sick of the internet whoring out their stuff, especially when they are almost all going to factory boutiques, at this rate there will only be boutiques, in a few years, and they are ALL 100% list price only!

I'm sure there's some truth to that - my dad actually found a NY IWC company store had its grand opening yesterday and he might have made a visit today. What I was not saying was that I could stroll into Swiss Fine Timing and with no rapport get a Breguet marked down 30%; what I am saying is you might, after getting some maintenance done there and making several visits and talking with them over the course of a few months, have them sell below MSRP. No one I knows pays retail, either before now or ever, independent of wealth.
