Have you played with the idea of doing a two tone in some real conservative colors?

I'm thinking Black on top and a dark grey on the sides. You could bring in the red as a stripe that separates the colors and match the calipers it to the red stripe when you covert to all discs. (when I say red I'm thinking more of a maroon

You could do some cool things with the stripe too, make it thick and maybe incorporate 383 stroker somewhere there..

To complete it throw on a custom fiberglass bedcover (color matched).

Wheel/tire setup: I'd be different and instead of going big like 18, go as low as you can and go for a flush fitment to make it real clean. The Cagers would work real well. If you go for those, you could even go black do a time attack stripe colormatched to the main red stripe on the side of the car.

It looks really cool in my head...I promise

    For a visual

When I say gray I'm talking something like this or darker

    Singapore Gray FTW

@p.clerc: We're on the same page. I'm 95% on the Cragar Soft 8's in 17" all around. I might actually...paint them at some point. bronzy-gold wheels are really getting to me these days. Bronze wheels with dark gray paint...why not?

With all the "wheel fail" threads floating around, the only "cheap" wheels i would feel confident in are Cragars or some torque thrusts, etc. Its a big heavy car and I drive the sh!t out of it, so no knock off ADV's for this hoonigan!

Cool, I think the Cragars are a good choice. Period correct is always in.

You still have yet to posts the before pics for this project... We have to have before and after pics that way we have something to compare the end result to and after 8 years a lot could happen.

Here's an old post when I was going to paint it last year (before my motor took a sh!t...) You can see why it has to go down to the metal! (Also that video I posted earlier is my car)

Of course, I'll post some next week (with video) when it gets out of the shop!

Idea just popped into my head, matte grey with a glossy black racing stripe
