Thanks for the great input! Markus...can you post a link to that project? (Looks nuts!)

I think I would actually be happy with the setup on that '73 Chevelle in the OP (Gun metal gloss with those Soft 8's) I like simple as well…

Under the hood is well sorted out IMO. It looks period correct. Sprayed flat/satin black. The block is hugger orange, chrome valve covers and air cleaner cover. I think I might go with steel braided hoses this time around. The 383 is around 400 hp/420 lbs/ft. Blueprint is shipping it back to me TODAY! (and extending my warranty 4 months…love that company!)

It needs paint, stance correction, and wheels/tires. I don't want to spend a ton of money on it...I'll probably re-do it in 5-8 years. It has to come down to the bare metal; the paint and primer (from 1998) are shot. So I will do that myself in the garage/driveway with paint stripper and some Pabst. EuroCar OC said they would spray it for me in-house (we’ll see what they’re talking about as far as pricing) I don’t want/need a perfect paint job; just driver quality.

I took all the trim off the side of the car and the wheel wells. Now the only trim left is around the bed, the windows, and the light fixtures. Leave it stock or paint them same as the body color?

If I go with a 5 spoke, it would be some variation of the torque thrust in a flat gun metal finish.

Wheels I’m leaning towards…what do you think?:

Take a hard look at Coys Custom Wheels. Very well priced, classic looking and available in a lot of sizes.

^ Clean as hell! My trim is like that one; nothing on the sides, just around the windows and lights. I'll post some pics this weekend.

This is what it currently looks and sounds like...new headers and mufflers are going in with the re-built motor...so it will be louder.
