Default Moscow Recommendations

I’m going over to Moscow some time in the next couple of weeks for a few days on a bit of a recon mission. It’s a little bit of a holiday, but want to do a little bit of work while I’m out there and visit a couple of specialist car dealers. Can anyone suggest any? Where does all the money hide in Moscow?

Also considering poping into the Ukraine on the way home, so same questions apply.

Obviously will need some hotel suggestions, areas to stay clear of, must see’s, bars, brothels……. You know the score.

Thanks guys.

If you're going after Vladimir Putin's arse, best of luck!

Moscow sucks. When you go to Ukraine, hit up the Crimea; there are some great hotels right next to the Black Sea; they're somewhat pricey, but well worth the expense. There are great clubs all over Ukraine; just ask around.

Most of the people living in Russia don't pay taxes so in a sense money does "hide," in cash.

We stayed at the Ararat hotel when we were in Moscow last time - summer of 2005. Pretty nice place. You should also drop by St. Petersberg too.

Just to reiterate what people are stating on this thread - money is far from hidden in Moscow. I've seen some of the most baller cars while visiting there and before they were suppose to be released!

By the way, Moscow was voted the most expensive city to live in the world the last 2 years I think. Our Moscow friends told us that a cup of coffee is running about $30 USD so bring lots o'money!

Stack cash if you want to go out...it is pricey,

I am a huge fan of Kempinski hotels when I am traveling out of country the Baltschug is right across the river from Red Square...fantastic place and right in the middle of the city, get a river side suite if possible...amazing views.
