    Default 24hrs in Chicago?

Next week I'll be in the Windy City for a little over 24hrs. Staying at the Sutton Place near the Magnificent Mile. It'll be my first time in Chicago, and all I really know is that I want some authentic deep dish pizza. Apart from Millenium Park and Willis Tower, what else does the 4 recommend?

Also, I know most of us on here are super ballers. I however will be ballin' on a budget. So no outrageous nights for me. I'm keeping it pocket friendly.

For good pizza, the "big three" (at least that's what I call 'em) are Giordano's, Lou Malnati's and Gino's East. If you like hot dogs and italian beef sandwiches, you have to go to Portillos.

Besides Millennium Park and the Sears Tower, check out Navy Pier, Museum of Science & Industry, Shedd Aquarium. I've also been to the Field Museum and Planetarium and found them to be rather boring. Gold Coast Motors is also down there on Rush Street so be sure to drop in and try not to drool too much. Lastly, if the Cubs are in town, you need to experience a game at Wrigley if you havent already.

I love my hometown... enjoy it for me!!!

if you have 24 hrs.... goto giradanos, navy pier, willis tower, portillos off ohio street, water tower/mag mile, and maybe go look at the museums from outside. they are way to big to do in 24 hrs

I was in Chicago a couple summers ago, If I could do it over again I would have skipped Shedd Aquarium (I was disappointed) and instead I would have went on a river boat tour!

Spend two of those twenty-four hours eating at Graham Elliot on Huron Street!

I love Chi-city man, have been there a couple times, going again this year. Like "TheItalian" said already, Gino's East is a fantastic pizza place. I also enjoyed Navy Pier and seeing the city from the Sears Tower.

Enjoy the 24hrs to the fullest man.

Eduardo, when you get to Chicago, look for a brochure called "Concierge Preferred." When I worked in hotels out there, this thing was like my bible that I gave to guests on how to get around, where to eat and what to do. Your hotel should have it but if it doesn't, any of the concierges at the bigger properties will have 'em.

Also, the Sears Tower has a great observation deck but the Hancock Tower on the north side of the Mile has a portion of theirs outdoors which makes it kinda unique. Check that out too if you have some time.

    What is the Sears Tower?

    hehe

The glass deck at the WILLIS tower is awesome, I'd purchase tickets in advance as majority of the line and wait time is to purchase tickets.

Food comes to Italian Beefs, Hot Dogs and Pizza. These are Chicago staples.

This coming weekend is the Air and Water Show, so you are in luck for things to do. However the city is going to be PACKED! If you have never been to Chicago before I wish you a welcome and good luck!
