    Default F1 Monaco

Looking at getting one of those packages for next year's Monaco F1 race. Anyone been there? Is it an experience worth the price?

I've been on Senate Grand Prix Monaco Grand Prix Packages, Accommodation & Race Viewing and they have some hotel packages with views and food/drinks included. But at 1,750-2,500 euro for the typical Sat-Sun package per person, that's 3,500 - 5000 euro for me and my wife.

There's plenty of other things I would spend up to 5000 euro that involves "doing" something (cruise around Australia, 5x track weekends for wife and me, etc).

    Thoughts?

I've never been but always dreamed of going. Everyone i've spoken to that has gone says it's a must do experience. My suggestion would be to look at staying in the surrounding areas (Nice, etc.) that is significantly cheaper and then just going into monaco for your daily activities. Should save you a significant amount of coin.

I agree, staying in France would save you a whole lot of change. I've never been there myself though.

It would save - but then you couldn't get that hotel balcony overview of the track...

Does appear my plans may have already been changed for me though. Wife found a horse breaking/taming thing or whatever going on in the same time frame. She was like "well we can spend 4000 euro for you to be entertained and me to be bored or we can spend 100 euro for me to be entertained and you to be bored." Doing split trips didn't go over so well...

I have a couple friends that have been. The pictures are amazing and we are talking about one of the most beautiful places/track in the world. I would certainly go. I heard that your french needs to be capable despite the influx of tourists the locals see. Maybe my friends had a different experience, but the persons traveling with them were thankful that they were fluent. Its not like Amsterdamn where the locals all smoke pot and speak 5 different languages lol

I find it appealing because ive been going to monaco for the last 10 years for vacation/family...i just love how the streets I walk down every day and night turn into a racetrack! I have perks too, like a private box but I have yet to go

I was just there for this years f1 race.
I ended up staying in nice, france and taking a short train ride in to monaco.
the train in was a short ride that was really pretty cruising along the coast.
A ton of people stay in Nice for the race so there are a couple of trains dedicated to just busing people back and forth.

I was there a few years ago for the yacht show and found it to be amazing, I really want to make it back there soon.

Yes. Just like in "Archer," they gave my room away.
