Default Goin to Italy in 2 weeks

I am getting married and the wife-to-be and I are heading to Italy for the honeymoon. I have been once, but it was on a student budget so hopefully this will be a different sort of trip.

I will be spending three nights in Rome, three in Venice, and one in Marenello (staying at HotelPlanet overlooking the Ferrari test track).

Im looking for recommendations on places to eat and things to see. We will do the obvious touristy things (St. Peters, Sistine Chapel, Roman Forum, Colliseum (sp?), etc...) but I am looking for things that are perhaps not as obvious but would be breathtaking/special for a honeymoon.

Thanks in advance

Take like 4 gigs of memory cards and turn them in to L4P when you return!

Venice Locations

Harry's bar in Venice is awesome...

Mention "Giada De Laurentiis" and they get excited!

Make sure you get a lot of pics of those high end pasta rockets. And some of the wedding too. LOL

When in Rome, try to drive over to Florence, you won't regret it, gorgeous. I'd suggest Almafi as well but that may be a bit far to drive to from Rome.

+1 Flotence is a beautiful town. If you go to Venice also check out a town nearby called Padova.

I have spent some time in Florence and really like it. We debated on Florence over Venice for our trip. We only have a week. so we couldnt do both justice. In the end, Venice won out because of its "honeymoon appeal," although I do prefer Florence as both a city and a tourist site.

Florence is a great place if you are prepared to spend at least one entire day at the Uffizi and another looking at Michelangelo's works... I just cant imagine spending half my honeymoon in art museums.
