One week in Paris, one week in the French Riviera....
Booked a week in Paris and a week in Nice with my girlfriend in late May. I want to see the Lorre Valley, Normandy, and do some other day trips with her during the Paris week but I have no idea what to do during the riviera week. I rented a Citroen C3 convertible (please look it up if you haven't seen it, it's on par with an R8 convertible
) and plan to drive to St. Tropez, Monaco, and maybe into Italy for a bit. Any of you guys have some good advice on places to go or see while we are down there?
Also, I might propose when I am down there, so if any of you all are in the area and would be interested in helping me make it epic, drop me a line!
Thanks in advance!Life's good.

We just came back from Paris about a week ago so let me know if you're looking for any advice for that leg of your trip. As for the Cote d'azur, I think you should check out the following:
- Eze: Cliffside ocean town with tons of charm and character. There's an awesome hotel there in the cliff (Chateaux Relais, I think) that offers spectacular views of the Med.
- Monaco: Take to top corniche on the way there from Nice and the middle one on the way back. Awesome views and great driving roads.
- Gorge du Verdon: Ever see Top Gear when they take their super cars to the south of France? This is where they film. Incredible views, spectacular driving, etc.
Any chance you have time for Provence? Need more advice? Feel free to hit me up.Le Maison

If you're going with your SO, ditch your car in Nice and take the chopper to Monaco. It'll save you all the headaches of getting into Monaco and it's quite scenic since it flies over the riviera and you can see the coast on one side and all the big yachts around.

Are you on ASmallWorld? Most of the time it's not that big of a help, but it has transformed into a great travel community, with lots of info and events.
If that's OK with you, I'll just open up a thread on there on your behalf and see what I can get for you?

If you have time you can take a 2 day trip down to Florence, Italy and/or Venice. It would take you somewhere near 4-5 hours from Nice to get to Florence and about 6-6.5 hours by car to Venice. If not ditch the car and hop on a plane if you don't have too much time to spare.
