London to Paris
Has anyone ever taken the Train from London to Paris?? it seems to be a ride of 2hr 15min. do you recommend it? about whats the average price for the ticket?? it looked and it shows 57 but when i put my dates come to like 400 per person.
any inputs appreciated

I took the Eurostar train. It was comfortable and a quick ride. I can't give you a price as I had a rail pass at the time.

Did it back in October 2007, bit over 2 hours. Better than the ferry and less messing around than airport (especially with the security headaches of Heathrow). But yeah was costly, Didn't buy a return ticket. From memory it was about $90 Euro London to Paris and $200 Euro from Paris to London. (Back then it was $1.00 AUD = .61 Euro, so it was a pretty expensive exercise).

Acela - boards from Waterloo if I remember correctly.
I took the 5am and arrived in Paris 830 am.
I paid about a $100 r/t if i remember correctly.

I don't know what current prices are, but it is as effortless a way to get from London to Paris as there is known to man.
For info, re Ash K's post..... The Eurostar now departs from London St Pancras International, not Waterloo any more.2.0 Mugen CRX VT-Turbo.

I took the Eurostar train when going to the Paris motor show, it was fantastic, and pretty cheap if i remember!
