Default Euro Delivery in Munich - Need ideas

I just received my delivery date for my E93. I'll be picking up the car in Munich in early April. I've been to Europe before but never to Grrrmany. I'm looking for any suggestions of what to do/see and maybe where to stay in Munich.

Depends on what you're looking into...

A prett good hotel is the Sofitel:
Hotel Sofitel Munich Bayerpost - Luxury hotel MUENCHEN - Official Web Site

A cool spot for the night is:
P1 - Bar, Club Events Mnchen

Castle Neuschwanstein, as shown above, is pretty nice if you've never been into a castle at all and if you like to get to know some history...
Otherwise, historywise, there's also a house of Hitler nearby munich, which he got for his 50th birthday back in the day. It's called the Adlerhorst (Aerie) or Kehlsteinhaus and it's a spectacular build. It's located upon a mountain's top, a golden elevator brings you up and the view is simply amazing.
    Just a quick pic: http://www.kurz-ferienwohnungen.de/i...einhaus_gr.jpg

There's also the English Garden right in the middle of Munich, with it's famous chinese tower. A wonderful place to hang out, take a walk and enjoy a Maß Bier (one liter of beer )

But there are really tons of things to do and see around Munich, please specify what you want to do and what you want to see, so we can fit you into a nice little program

Btw, I'm working a little tour out for you, starting from Munich... How much time do you have until you leave? I could work out a tour of one day or so...

Thats exactly the kind of information I was looking for, thanks!
The guide books give all of tourist spots and I want some of the gems that are cool and noteworthy.

My trip so far is pretty flexible as I haven't booked anything yet. My thought was to say two nights in Munich, drive to Nurburg spend a night there, and hit the ring for a few laps (have to do it). After Nurburg I was planning on driving to Amsterdam for a night or two, then dropping the car off at the port. From there I was going to take an overnight ferry to Scotland and spend a few nights in Glasgow before I fly back to the states.

WW2 history is a definite on my list of things to see and experience. I'll also be traveling with a buddy so we'll be out drinking and getting to know the female talent pool as well.

    Appreciate the effort ElCabron!

That sounds like perfect conditions for a nice little trip...

So, first of all, the one- day- trip, exploring the "pure driving pleasure" of your new BMW. These are the destinations you have to enter step by step into your satnav, as easy as it could be.

München - Garmisch Partenkrichen - Ehrwald - Imst - Oetz - Kühtai - Sellrain - Zirl - Seefeld in Tirol - Mittenwald - Walchensee - Kochel am See - München.

Takes about a day to drive. There's every sort of german driving pleasure included. Unrestricted Autobahn in the beginning, long stretches of curvy countryroads following and some nice little alpine roads (twisties and breathtaking views).
No special driving skills are needed for this tour too, so just relax and enjoy. I hope you can enjoy it with your roof down...

I just saw that the Eagle's Nest is closed until middle of may due to volatile weather conditions
But here's a link tho, would've been nice if you could have visited it.
The Eagle’s Nest Road - History

What's cool when it's raining, is the German Museum. Every of our inventions or historical milestones and our evolution packed into one big building. Interesting, to say at least. A magnet for tourists, but worth a visit. And it's in the middle of Munich, too.
    Deutsches Museum: Deutsches Museum

Hofbräuhaus, as said earlier, is really a must-do. And don't dare to not drink a Maß Bier...

For the rest of your trip, my personal opinion is to skip a day of Amsterdam and add it whether in Stuttgart or in Paris. Stuttgart offers the Mercedes-Benz and the Porsche Museum and a great nightlife. And about Paris... I don't like the frenchmen, they're pretty rude to us germans, but hey - It's ten times better than Stuttgart!

Can't tell much bout Scotland, never been there. Drinking must be fabulous there, but if you want hot chicks and a great nightlife, stay in munich, stuttgart or paris Plus it's pretty cold there...

Nürburgring is not even worth mentioning. That HAS to be a part of taking delivery of your new ride =)
What are the specs on it btw?

Hope I could partially sort out the chaos round the tourist guide sh!%...
Please give me more specific interests and hit me up with any question you'd like, I'll do my best to make your stay over here more pleasant.

Thanks for all the info, this is exactly what I need! I'm actually considering skipping Scotland and taking your advice about Paris and Stuttgart.

Sucks about the Eagles Nest being closed, after I saw the picture it was a definite stop.

My build is the M3 Convertible, space gray metallic, bamboo beige leather, convenience pack, premium pack 2, dynamic damper, heated seats, enhanced premium sound, and 6MT.

I'm getting to the point of booking this trip. My original plans have changed a bit and I'm now thinking of these two options. What do you think?

    1. Munich, Stuttgart, TBD somewhere else on the way to, Amsterdam
I need one more spot to hit on the way to Amsterdam here. Any suggestions?

    or

    2. Munich, Stuttgart, Prague, then back to Munich.

Paris is not an option anymore?

If you're still really interested in WW2 history, there are a few places near the french/german border (near Strasbourg), which are related to that...
