    Default Napa Valley Suggestions

I am planning a trip to Napa Valley in September, and was wondering if anyone had any advice on places to stay.

Not looking for something super expensive.

Any suggestions, or advice would be great.

Thanks Ben. Looks nice, however I think the rates are close to $700/night. Any other suggestions?

I wasn't saying anything really cheap, but if $700/night is normal then that's what it is. This is the first time I'm looking at the area, so just looking for suggestions.

I live 2 hrs away so I have never stayed there overnight.

If you are looking for a simple accommodation, you should be able to find some motels / hotels on travelocity or expedia just outside of napa valley. Some are around $70-80 within a 20 mi radius. Within the wine country, prices are greatly inflated. I don't see any reason to pay $700 for a room, unless it's a house or hotel with ocean view.

We stayed here for one night and were very pleased: Napa Valley Bed & Breakfast Candlelight Inn Napa Bed and Breakfast

Also, be sure to contact Tom at Mi Sueno for a tasting. I can PM you his contact info if needed. MTK hooked me up with him during our visit.

whatever happens, DO NOT drive remotely buzzed. downtown napa is on lock-down on weekends - and the county itself seems to be very strict. if you're drinking, cab it, or designate a driver.
