Another Vegas Thread?
Yes indeed, another Vegas thread. To set the stage..This will be my first trip to Vegas. A friend of mine graduated recently and this is my gift to him. We will be staying at Aria July 8th-11th. Our plans are to gamble and visit a few clubs. Being my first time I am unsure what to expect. I have read through a few of the past Vegas threads, but would like additional current information.
1) For those who have been to Aria how does the Liquid Lounge/Pool work? Is it free if you're staying at the Hotel?
2) What are the popular clubs? Tao? XS? What makes them the best? What does it cost to enter? What do I need to ensure entry for an evening?
3) I read about 'hosts'..are they necessary? What does that do for you? What does that cost?
4) Clothing? Is a nice pair of jeans, shoes, and a button-up acceptable for going out on the town?
If anyone has a way to make this a trip to remember please let me know!
If you have a free moment and could respond to these questions I would be very appreciative as I would like to hear different perspectives. As I think of more questions I will add them to the thread. Any additional advice is welcome.

1. Never stayed at Aria, so I can't really help. Most pool/club's are not free...Gotta know someone or fork out some cash. Id contact Aria directly.
2. "Popular" Clubs: Depends on what you're into. New(er) clubs are normally the most popular/exclusive.
3. Not sure if anyone can get a host...you may have to be a guest of the casino, but I'm not 100% on this...
4. Depending on the club, Jeans and a button down may be ok, but if you're buying table service, you can normally dress however you want.
I just got back from Vdara (in the City Center, across the parking lot from Aria). I HIGHLY recommend the mojitos while you're playing...while many casino's skimp out on the drink's they'll comp, Aria does not. My wife claims that the Mojito's she drank were comperable (if not better) than those she's had at Cuban restaurants, rum bars, etc...

By contacting Aria directly, do you mean literally give them a call and say "can I get on the list for the pool?"

Thank you eight2178!

Aria is nice.
Liquid has a cover for men, but I'm sure there's a way around it.
Clothing, I wear more black in Vegas than anywhere else I've ever been.
Call a sedan to pick you up from the Airport. It's about $60 but you don't have to wait an hour to catch a cab.
