And avoid LAX at all costs. John Wayne is truly a pleasure to fly in and out of and is much much closer to Laguna.

just north of montage 5 min is a place called kya bistro it has great food and is cheap, it is at a hotel called La Casa del Camino, and on the roof of that place is best spot to see sunset, a little secret, if you are up for a 20 to 30 min drive you have to go to Javier's in newport coast, it is a must for socal eating,

I've stayed here before. It seemed like a pretty hip place, amazing balcony room right on on the water. Good location, nice place.

When I was down there I had dinner here, it was extremely good.

Laguna Beach is Great! I am there all the time! I'm always down for a drink or four!

must go to "Royal Hawaiin" and order LAPU's

must go to "SALOON" and order a PYNO!

also...if you are there during the summer, the SAWDUST FESTIVAL (opens this Friday) is going one. Its an outdoor event every day that has all hand made stuff. Most locals have booths there and always a good time walking around seeing different art work and homemade art/clothes/chatky's.
