Thread: Getting HIGH with L4P!!!!

Planning to summit Mount Whitney. Invite to members of L4P to join me.

Mount Whitney is the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states. We will be at base camp (Elevation 8,400') on Oct. 5th and hitting the trail on the 6th, to an alpine lake at 10,800' for the first night. Then we will summit (14,505') and return to another alpine lake at 10,200', then return to base camp on Oct. 9th and head home on Oct.10th.

I welcome anyone who wants to join, however it is only open to the first 3 people to give me a 100% commitment (due to permitting and advance planning).

Please be prepared to live out of a backpack during that time. Also this time of year should be planned to include "Ice & Snow" equipment. Also this time of year could have temps ranging from 80 degrees to below zero.

It should be lots of fun. Expect lots of beautiful fall colors.

This is not a very technical trail and I welcome first time climbers and backpackers to join me. If you have never done this before please feel free to join in and let this be your first, I am open to teaching along the way.
