It's really hard to wrong in NO with food. I would recommend one of the old line places for starters. Many famous chefs have cut their teeth at Commander's Palace, Galatoire's and K-Paul's kitchen. All of Brennan's rest. are good. Brennan's, Palace Cafe', Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse and Mr. B's. Two of Emeril's original places are in NO. August by John Besh is awesome. A must is sunday jazz brunch at Court of Two Sisters.
Some of the bars and clubs don't close to well into Sunday afternoon. HAVE FUN!
You gotta find some little hole in the wall places to eat lunch! go big for dinner if you want but the local, red beans and rice joints are some of the best flavor you will ever put in your mouth.
I cant think of the name of it but right off of canal close to Marriott there is a place that has a grill right outside the door so you can smell the cooking. ITS AWESOME!!!
If your a big nightlife person!
Everyone has to experience bourbon once or twice but make sure you get off the strip a night or two for some real clubs! look into Republic, its my pic for right now!
and if you just cant get enough a place called ampersand opens at like 4am!
