Planning a Snowboarding/Ski Trip
I am an avid snowboarder and am trying to plan a trip Christmas time. I would like to try a new challenging mountain, but there has to be some restaurants and nightlife. I have already been to Vail, Jackson Hole, Whistler, Aspen, and Tahoe. A few people mentioned Telluride, but I am not sure it has enough challenging terrain. I have also heard Big Sky in Montana is pretty awesome, but don't know anyone who has been there. I unfortunately don't have enough time off to take the trip to Europe, but I heard the snow isn't that great Christmas time over there anyway. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I was at Big Sky 2 years ago and liked it. I would agree with there slope difficulty from there website as mostly advanced (40%), you can defiantly find some extreme terrain. I was there in February and the place was empty. It has a very small town and very laid back which is a nice change compared to Vail/Aspen. At the end of the day a lot of people grabbed some beers from the store and sat outside near the open fire pits which were setup in town.
1 thing I highly recommend is take a day trip to Yellowstone and do some snowmobiling. We took a bus from Big Sky and dropped us off at the snowmobile store and took a full day guided tour of Yellowstone. They only allow so many snowmobiles a year in Yellowstone so book ahead.

Yup... Whistler, BC.
Or Valdez, Alaska (although there aint shit for nightlife out there.) You could always do Alyeska, which is about 45 minutes south of Anchorage. (Alaska Vacations, Restaurants & Accommodation | Alyeska Resort)

Whistler or Aspen. Doesn't get much better than that.

Killington VT if you wanna stay close. Not on the same level as out west skiing but still a great east coast option. My first trip out west will either be aspen or jackson hole.
