Hello Thilo - thanks for starting this wonderful thread.
You are correct - there are many great cars and collection in Switzerland but it seems very little discussion about them that I've found to celebrate them.
As I am keenly interested in McLaren F1s and as you are now closely engaged with McLaren I am curious if you happen to recognize this particular McLaren F1? It is strongly believed to be chassis #048 and wears a registration plate from the Fribourg area of Switzerland which I realize is a couple of hours distance from your location. There's very limited content that has surfaced of this particular F1 - most of the images I have been able to locate were taken when it appeared once in Cannes, France. Here's a few of those - each one clickable.

It also appeared in an article and on the cover of Sportwagen magazine (not sure the exact date of publication) in front of Garage Bernard Despont in Villaz-St-Pierre which is much closer to its place of registration. Here's the cover photo and the pages from the magazine that featured the F1 - again these images are clickable:

Now perhaps you are familiar with the car and its owner and will not be able to share too much - I understand if true. What I would really like to be able to confirm is that it is still in Switzerland, and if anyone else has any extra images of it they could share I figure I would not be alone in wanting to see them.
Thanks again for any assistance you can offer with this bit of Swiss mystery.

Hi Peloton!
The garage Despont is about 4 km far from my grand mom's house. When I was younger I went several times to see lambo and the EB110. Unfortunately never saw the f1.. I heard about that the license plate is still on the street but no idea if it's on the f1. I could have the name of the owner of this plate if you wish

I wish for any information people might have to share about this car. It's one of the obscure ones that very little is known about.
Thanks for any help!

Peloton, the blue F1 is still in Switzerland, I can confirm this I can not however disclose any further location information or owner details.
There are 5 other McLaren F1's which I am aware of in Switzerland.

Appreciate the confirmation and understandable about the rest of what you wrote given your position. Thank you very much though!

Others in Switzerland would be #007 with Simon Kidston in Geneva who isn't the least bit shy of his ownership and is a friend. Then #075 is known to be owned by Mansour Ojjeh - President of TAG and major shareholder in the McLaren Group. Chassis #012 arrived there late in 2011 and was for sale at Carugati. Not sure it is still around or has moved on yet? I think #064 may be another possibility now in Switzerland, but that remains to be confirmed. The last car you suggest is there is a mystery to me - maybe #063? - but keeping track of them can be a small challenge at times. It is really a shame that more of them don't see time outside their garages though.
On the website SwissCarSightings.com Matteo doesn't even have a section for 'McLaren', having only seen Simon's car pictured at Villa d'Este in Italy here:
