There are only four sports: bullfighting, motor racing, mountaineering, and troll hunting; all the rest are merely games.

The Ford GT doesn't have traction control and has more power than most of you have ever experienced. It's as easy as cutting butter with a chainsaw to lose traction in the FGT and once you lose it, it can be very hard to regain control of the vehicle. That is the most likely cause of this accident, loss of traction and the owner tried to save it but was too late. Yes, it is possible that the owner was texting however that crowd tends to be more cautious about paying attention while driving their FGT. It's scary enough with both hands on the wheel. When you include the fact that driving season is coming to an end as temps drop, loss of traction becomes more probable. Just because it's dry with a clear sky doesn't automatically mean it's a good idea to take the supercar out for a drive. Anything below 60 degrees can end up badly for cars with lots of power on tap.
I've never driven a Ford GT so I wouldn't know but this may be the reason. I drive over that bridge a lot and it has metal grate on it, sometimes if u accelerate too fast or turn a certain way you will slide a bit... and thats in a normal car, 600+ hp? ...forget about it!

Cold weather, cold tires, bumps/crests on the road and a lot of power can put these sideways in a hurry. I've had lots of time in mine and still managed to spin it on the track where luckily there's nothing to bump into. I've hit the throttle hard on a fall day and caught wheelspin just before shifting into 4th on an onramp. That could've been disastrous. These things will bite you if you're not paying attention, but if you're not driving it hard, where's the fun in that?

Sucks to crash the car, but at least the guy wasn't leaving it in the garage all the time.
