    Default Raiders Owner Al Davis Dies

    Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis has died at the age of 82. The news was posted on the team’s web site. The team said he died at his home in Oakland this morning. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed.

    Davis, who passed away at the age of 82, served as the owner of the Raiders since 1972. Under his tenure, Oakland won three Super Bowl titles.

    Fact is, I never liked the Raider at all. But whether you may or may not not have agreed with his approach, his accomplishments, foresight and strong will cannot be overlooked. He changed the face of modern professional football as we know it. His hard playing California based team will always be his Legacy.
