LA didn't do enough to keep the Rams from going to St. Louis, I just do not see the city willing to spend the $$$ necessary to get another team. Just my $.02 for what it's worth.

    Later,
the coliseum and rose bowl aren't going to be used as the next stadium (definitely not the rose bowl, the local residents won't allow it). california can support more teams than other states because of the population concentration/income in specific regions. i'm not sure about oakland, but then again, jacksonville isn't that large either.

let the rest of the country spend with bonds and tax incentives to lure the nfl, if the nfl wants to be in l.a., they have to find their own way.
it would be nice to have a team in los angeles--and i would get season tickets--but i enjoy being able to watch nfl games with no blackouts.

I thought AEG wasn't going through with the deal unless a team was confirmed to move to LA. I'm a LA resident and am a huge Vikings fan. I say we follow tradition and send the Vikings to LA, just like the Lakers were moved from Minneapolis! Their colors even go with the Lakers theme!

Well, I can only say that I will believe this when I see the first kickoff. Until then, it's all smoke and mirrors and hopes.

Yeah…L.A. has come “close” to getting a team back here before. I think there’s an issue with the NFL actually owning territorial rights to this market or something, so any team wanting to move here would have to pay the NFL off.

I don’t know about “smoke and mirrors”; I think AEG is dead serious about this. Have any of you ever been to Staples/LA Live or the Home Depot Center? AEG doesn’t play around! If it happens, it could be epic! The whole experience will be geared towards a high-end/corporate crowd, just like the Lakers and Staples Center.

Hoon...I don't hate LA, I just think that as of now, it's all pie in the sky. The property in the Staples Center area is prime real estate, any venue down in that area is going to rediculously expensive to purchase/build. Those costs will be passed onto the fans in form of high ticket prices and concessions. I actually think a team in LA is a good thing, but not at the expense of the people who who have do the dirty work to make the owners/promoters rich. The celebs and 'beautiful people' always know someone who knows someone to get good tickets for next to nothing. One only has to look at the Cowboys. Going to a Texans game is a better value because jerry jones has to recoup his monies, and I am a diehard Cowboys fan!

Ya, not smoke and mirrors. Some serious work being put into making this work. A lot of obstacles, certainly. But if LA can't come up with the cash who can.

Understand your point Lee. More to your point...they don't want the raiders back b/c their fanbase is too blue collar :-/
