Thread: Football - College or Pro?

I'm gettin' excited for college football to start in a few months. I personally perfer college over pro because I feel like the college kids are playing because they want to and not for an oversized paycheck.

My dad played college ball for Notre Dame so its in my blood. Which do you prefer and who do you follow?

My opinion:
College football is the real football. Kids playing their hearts out and only for school pride. Pro players don't put as much effort as college kids IMO. They are already making the big bucks win or loose. I find college games more intense, exciting, and more unpredictable. The only thing I do not like is not having a college "superbowl".

They play harder because they WANT the the oversized paycheck.

All day Saturday is for football. Sunday....not so much.

In general, I agree that most college football players play harder than the PROs.

However, there are some pro football players who play harder than some of these guys on the collegiate level. Also, they have a better work ethic and take it more serious because it is a job. There are some college players that are just there because it's free to them and their parents and also get special treatment and think they're the shit cause they play on the football team. They could really care less because they know they aren't going to make it in the league and a part of that is their work ethic and laziness. I know many like that now, personally from graduating from a top 10 football powerhouse high school, you tend to see it quite a bit.

College football is definitely better, but until they reach the NFL, it's a whole new game.

University of Kentucky fan here!! Not the best football school by any means, but i've been a fan of UK since i was a small child!!

IMO pro football is much harder hitting and much more intense.
