^ Pippen started that shit and LeBron himself as well. Back then when he chose number 23 it was all a coincidence, right?
He himself is responsible for the constant comparisons.

Anyway, just a little something I found the other day:

Please... Like someone said, LeBrons career isn't even half-way yet.

He definetly has the potential to be equal to MJ, or even better.

Lock this thread and open in it 8 years, then we can start comparing for real.
The point of the vids is that MJ always controlled the tempo of the game, even with double and triple teams being thrown at him. He never backed down and shrank away from a challenge. And he was like that as soon as he entered the league.

Contrast that with how LeBron, in the 8th season of his career, played like he was scared of the ball in the Finals. Did he try and go to the hole the way MJ did in those videos, even though the game now is less physical than in the late 80s and throughout the 90s? No. The most physically gifted player on the court played with the courage of a grade school player. Any discussion of LeBron equaling, much less succeeding, MJ is flat out crazy talk........

lebron definitely doesn't have the same mental fortitude of jordan. he's like the little brother who just wants to be loved by everyone and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that, but he doesn't seem to place the same importance on just winning. jordan was/is an ultra-competitive butthole who went as far as ripping teammates in practices but also thrived when all the pressure was placed upon him.

Kobe is a better comparison to Jordan than Lebron, even then, Kobe falls short. Teams do not fear Lebron the way they did Jordan, not even close.

I like Kobe, I like Jordan, I like LeBron. They are all a lot of fun to watch and have some mad skillz ( ). But Kobe/LeBron are on more the same level than Jordan. Jordan really is in a whole different league. While they may all have the same physical capabilities, Jordan had the mental ability to move through defenseman and take some shots that Kobe/LeBron don't.

Maybe LeBron will get more aggressive and not make the same mistakes he did in the finals this past year; maybe not. Time will tell, but right now he isn't in the same leauge.

    This.

. . . and Jordan saved the world in Space Jam; what has Kobe done?
