Which types of bets do you prefer more, point spreads or straight up winning bets? I'm just getting into it and I'm pretty sure I can pick who will win but the spread kind of bothers me. For example, I'm almost positive Green Bay will win but I'm not quite sure about the 14 point spread. The current money line for GB is -900. So this means if I bet $50 I would stand to make back $5.5 if I was right? I know this is still risky but seems to be better than stock options

Football & Basketball are "spread betting" sports so u risk -110 to win 100.
Picking the outright winner is and should be relegated to Baseball & NHL.
