What will u do with no NFL AND no NBA in 2011?
Ok so its a real solid possibility that its going to happen. Its 2 years away so I'm hoping the Lakers can squeeze in 1 more three-peat
however its looking more and more like reality
Both the NFL and NBA are heading towards lockout seasons.........the reason why its most likely going to happen is owners will make around 500 million in the NFL even with no players because of merchandise sales etc etc........in the NBA the owners will lose less money because of not having to pay out these huge contracts. Ownership in both leagues holds all the power right now and they want to pay players significantly less than they do now.
ESPN, Nike, Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS aren't really pushing for a deal to get done as well which is huge.......they have their own agenda because without the 2 most popular pro-leagues in the US people are going to probably turn to soccer which is huge because that would give the TV stations another big TV contract for advertising and ESPN another big sport to talk about and Nike another sport to provide even more athletic gear.
The players aren't going to probably budge because they want to make as much as possible and it looks like ownership on both ends want to cut salaries considerably so they won't sign a deal even though they won't make money
I dunno what I'll do in 2011.......I sure as hell am not watching fagball
but it will leave an empty void in my life. I suppose I will probably watch more movies or spend even more time than I already do at the gym. Heh maybe pick up a 2nd job to make more money while the leagues work it out

Bleh, why you call it fagball? Wait, which one is fagball?

I played soccer, still do on occasion, so I watch soccer also, along with watching football (egg shaped ball), baseball, hockey, and basketball. I also watch tennis too, but only the grand slams. So if both the NBA and NFL are locked out, I'll watch other stuff, as I usually do. I did this year after week 8 considering the Giants weren't doing so well. Soccer is year round for me, since I watch the English league (season runs from August - May) and MLS (June - September). Hockey I can watch somewhat, but I rather go to the games than watch them on TV, while baseball I watch, but that's because I also played baseball throughout all of my life until I was 23. So I view baseball differently than the casual fan.
To answer your question, I'll find some sport to watch. If I get bored with that, then there's always porn...

I can deal with it as long as I have college football.

NBA is going to lockout according to a buddy who plays for the Magic. He said there are some little details the owners have changed in the past that the players will not budge on now. Not sure about the NFL, I think they are in better position to negotiate a deal IMO.
Regardless, college football will remain the best sport in the US. *stares out window waiting for August
BTW can we trade MLB and the NHL for anything?

Do you think the TV stations and the advertisers will let this happen? Do they have a say in the grand scheme of things? The money lost on not having NFL or NBA will be huge.
