If the Magic can't win it in 5 games, Lakers will take it in game 6 or 7.

Im going with Lakers. Say what you want, but Labron is no Kobe. Kobe can take a game over like turning on a light switch. I have not seen anyone on Orlando that can totally match up with Kobe. Now Howard on the other hand is a different story. Nobody on LA can really match up with him. They could put Odom on him but I'm sure foul trouble would definitely come into play. What do you guys think?

Why would they put Odom on him? They'd put Bynum, Gasol, or Mbenga on him...........all 3 are 7' and Bynum and Mbenga can muscle up on him. It was proven by Boston that with a strong center who has a good center of gravity that Howard is less effective because he is limited offensively.

Has anyone thought about next year? Shaq wants to join Cleveland and there was a midseason attempt at trading him there.
Can you imagine the hype of that series? I know Shaq is on the downward end of his career but damn..........Kobe vs Lebron...........Shaq vs the Lakers.............wow

Lets go Magic. We need to steal one of the first two games. Kobe>Lebron. I think Lebron will be going to a larger Market (new york).

i'm rooting for the magic (of course) but, if we have to lose to anyone, i can live with losing to kobe and the lakers.
both teams are eerily similar - they both have a "we can make it up" attitude that is just plain dangerous.
i think the Magic will continue the match-up problems and they will be tougher the beat than people expect. i don't think they have a solution for Howard and i still think the Turk/Lewis combo is a hard problem to solve - kobe can only guard one of them and trevor has already been discarded by the magic.
but, the Lakers do have experience and that is the intangible i think will probably win the series.

They will give the Lakers matchup trouble but not really because of what you mentioned above. Kobe can guard Turk and Odom can guard Lewis, or Ariza will guard one of them to give Kobe a break...........that isn't their problem.
Their main problem is going to be Rafer Alston penetrating, the defense collapsing and then kicking it out to 3 point shooters.......yes Turk and Lewis but 1 on 1 they don't pose much of a threat to LA.
Also the Magic were pounded for giving up Ariza. They may not have had a use for him but he has improved VASTLY since he was wasting away in Orlando. In Game 6 they had some statistic that he had only made 8 3pointers in his entire career prior to this and was shooting 28% from beyond the arc.............this year he jacked up over 200 and had a major improvement in his % not to mention the playoffs he is going out of his mind from behind the arc. The fact you bring up Ariza being "discarded" by Orlando is funny and makes me believe you don't watch much basketball until the playoffs and don't watch every game, just a few here and there
It will be a good series, tougher for LA than Cleveland would be, but I can't see the Lakers losing to anyone in a best of 7 series..............
