Thread: Info on Miami Mile?

Anyone have an update on the mile-marker 1 Miami Mile? Last I checked, there wad a dispute between counties and use of the air strip. I had a blast at the last one. Anyone know of an update on upcoming events?

I was just thinking about this event as well. I'd love to attend another one of these now especially with the weather being so beautiful here in Florida.

Looks like all the organizers packed up their bags and closed up shop. I had heard some rumors circulating in regard to the runway itself and the possibility of future events potentially not being able to happen anymore.

I would be hugely disappointed if that ended up being true because quite frankly, I loved these events. It was an opportunity for me to have a designated date and location for many of my automotive friends around the country to meet up and legally take their beast of cars to the triple digits without any problems.

Hope to hear more updates regarding these events.

the issue is the insurance i believe. would like to see it again. MM1 is working on the issues.

Hey guys I'm doing a similar event but it's a half mile. However we will be allowing heads up racing instead of just solo runs. We are hoping to branch out to some longer runways in the future. This event is still going to be a blast though. It's about an hour south of Tallahassee, FL.

Carrabelle Speed Festival March 12th, 2011
