Areas to live in Phoenix
Hey Guys, I just graduated from the University of Arizona and so I am planning to move to Phoenix in August. I am looking for somewhere nice to live, that won't break the bank.
It terms of particulars on what I am looking for, I know that I do not want to be in the immediate vicinity of college students. I've graduated, and I could go without being surrounded by too many drunken students. Ideally, I would like to find a place that is pet friendly since I am currently researching breeders to purchase a french bulldog from. Obviously, a good clean community is important, as I don't want to have to worry about people possibly damaging my vehicles.
Any suggestions?“To be successful you have to be selfish, or else you never achieve. And once

I will give those a try. Any thoughts on Scottsdale? Any particular places that you've had positive experiences with?

I definitely agree with germany, I'd go with Gilbert because it is fairly new, and nice and clean. I'd stay away from Scottsdale, and my last option would be to go to Tempe-cheap homes but I just hate the area.
Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better.

Scottsdale is pricey but really nice and clean. North Phoenix is really nice and affordable. Thanks to the foreclosures you can snag up a townhouse or a single family for really cheap ($80-120k)

Just moved from AZ after graduating from ASU. I've lived in Tempe, and South Scottsdale. If you are trying to stay away from the college atmosphere I would say Gilbert Chandler area I have a friend who just bought a house in Chandler and loves it a lot of very new areas and if you still get the urge to rage its a quick trip up the 101 north to hit Tempe Mill Ave or Old Town Scottsdale clubs

Great info guys. I am going to make a trip to look at some places next week, I will probably start in Gilbert and then give Chandler a look.
Right now I am just looking for an apartment since the move was kind of last minute. I will definitely start looking into purchasing a home though!
None-the-less, I am very excited to make the move out of Tucson!!!

haha, I bet! Tucson is borring.
I used to live in Gilbert and it was perfect distance from everywhere (campus, shops, places to get wasted) etc. And it was quiet enough to relax when I wanted to, since Tempe is always packed and Scottsdale is a bit expensive.
Of course every area has its good parts and its flaws, but I'd say that Gilbert is the golden middle.

I am glad you made this thread cause I may be having to move out that way at the end of this year.
Also good luck on the Frenchie cause I love mine and wouldn't get ride of her for anything.

Yea, Tucson was good for school but now that I am finished, it is time to upgrade!
Great, please let me know if you do!
I'd like to speak to you a bit about your french bulldog. I have been researching them and from what I've seen, they're very prone to allergies, and other health issues. From what I've gathered, vet bills can get expensive quickly if you don't purchase one from a reputable breeder (at a cost of $2000-3000). Any insight would be appreciated!“To be successful you have to be selfish, or else you never achieve. And once
