right now we're looking for housing in the northern Glendale and northern Peoria areas, especially since both me and the wife work in this area. I really like northern Peoria since lots are spaced out more and you get more land, though housing prices is a bit out of our reach at this time.

This. The Chandler/Gilbert area is great because of how close it is to the 101. I live in Chandler Right by the 101 and I can get up to the part of Mill ave with all the bars in about 15 mins. Plus there are a lot of nice, new houses in chandler and because of the current economy they can be picked up pretty cheap if you are looking to buy.
    The following statement is true
    The previous statement is false

Pretty much what everyone else said. Gilbert is a great area and where I currently live, only about a 15 minute drive to mill ave(Tempe).

If you need help looking for homes in the Scottsdale area, PM me I know a good realtor. I'm looking to move Into Scottsdale within the next 1-3 years simply because I work up that way 6-7 days a week and spend most of my time now in scottsdale
