Ok...hate to say even though I love NM....I am with Kelly and have shopped Nordstrom as I hate that NM only takes certain store cards and personal checks ....not sure I see the benefit in this !!!

I was at a NM in Scottsdale, usually at the one at Fashion Island and I was going to buy some King Baby jewlery...I talked to a manager about why they only take AMEX and their own card. The reason they only take their own card and AMEX is the privacy that AMEX affords their clients.

Both have their perks - Nords is a bit more conservative and classy in some aspects - less euro fashion

Too exclusive for me, I usually use my Visa debit card to buy everything. I'm not going to apply for a NM credit card just to shop there and I dont have AMEX. And no, I'm not going to go to the atm just to get cash to buy something there. I can just go to Nordstroms and pay with my Visa. There's nothing there that is "so" exclusive that I'm going out of my way just to get cash just to shop there. I think their method of payments is a cumbersome.

I've always been impressed, but find myself way more actually buying from Macy's.
