    Default Fine Pens?

Anyone know anything about pens? Got a $200 gift card to paradisepen.com and want to know how to best spend it. Looking for something modern/cool looking, but don't know where to start.

I use a standard mont blanc meisterstuck ball point - I think those can be had for $275. They write well and the iconic white top is unmistakably classy.

I think first you need to decide what kind of pen you would like, ie. ball point, rollerball or fountain.

I personally like rollerball pens, and am a BIG fan of Pelikan for your price point.

For $200 Pelikan would be nice. If you kick in a few extra bucks Mont Blanc. They also have other things besides pens at the retail locations. Leather agenda.. passport cover.. all sorts of stuff.

The Cartier here looks sweet!... But a bit over 200 [$299].

If you're looking to kick in some of your own dough in addition to the gift card I'd look at the Montegrappa line...cool stuff.
