    umami seems to be a great non-traditional choice - i haven't tried it yet though
    01 996tt - GT700

    Ive been there its overpriced its 7 bucks for french fries and refills are 3 bucks me and a friend = 50$

    I really like Umami.

    Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks is pretty good as well. Lots of beer and great burgers.

    Prohibition in Encino is great. I recommend the garlic fries there.

    Can't go wrong with Mel's in Hollywood. Pretty famous place!

    Also, TK burger, Habit, etc. are all good choices as well. In N' Out is great but way over-hyped IMO.

    The Counter and Umami are very good. And, almost forgot, the Kobe beef burger from the grill in the alley is amazing.
