Default Going to Vegas, (this thread will change your life)

first, go to mandalay bay and go to burger bar, yes BURGER BAR..

order a kobe burger and fix it up the way you want. (i suggest the foi gras/oyster mushrooms/choice of cheese) and then order some sweet potato fries..

    holy friggin jesus!

next for dinner go to shibuya and order the 130$ omakase (9 course)... sit back and relax for 2 hours as they serve you the most amazing seafood of your life..

screw the rest, table 10 is decent, cut is ok, le cirque is well.. a circus tent, mesa is kinda fishy, etc... the above two will knock your friggin socks off.

sounds good -- i havent been to vegas in a while, but it's a short jaunt up the 15, less than 3 hours away for me -- may have to make use of our vacation house out there

and at least now I have plans for food next time I go.

A friend of mine just got back and also raved about the Burger Bar. He had the $60 Rossini -- Kobe beef, foie gras, shaved truffles, and Madeira sauce. HOLY CRAP! I haven't been able to think about anything else since.

I got this pic off Yelp:

+1 on Shibuya. Went there and it was amazing. Had a phenominal meal. Didn't make it to Burger Bar, but we did hit the BLT Burger in the Mirage. That place was pretty f'n good too. Try the Grandma's Treat Milkshake (Caramel, Vanilla, and Makers Mark). Yum a dum dum.....
