i thought this was a luxury forum? imo, there are only 5 worthwhile places to eat sushi/sashimi in the US:

    - Masa (NYC) - most expensive, $500/person, probably the best sushi

    - Sawa (Sunnyvale) - $200->whatever-you-want-to-spend, probably the best sashimi in the US

    - Kuruma Zushi (NYC) - $350-500/person, 2nd-best sashimi in the US, sushi is merely ok

    - Sushi Yasuda (NYC) - $150/person, the deal of the group, near-perfect sushi

    - Urasawa (LA) - $300-350/person, the most complete Japanese meal in the US (sashimi, sushi, and cooked dishes); it would probably rank as the best restaurant in the US too

Note: all prices are before alcohol, tax, and tip.

I've heard great things about this place, I was considering going there once I'm all healed up and allowed to move around. However I'm not that much of a connoisseur when it comes to sushi, is it therefore worth while to make a trip to a high end place like Sushi Yasuda?
