Silicon Valley? Bay Area?
My ranch manager and I will be taking Fish Bus on the road this Friday and Saturday to Silicon Valley. We'll be making our inaugural delivery of our fresh live fish to Bon Appetite Mgmt Co's cafe at Yahoo on Friday (and sticking around to say hi during lunch service so say hi if you're a Yahoo!) and staying the night as we'll be at Cisco on Saturday for a chef's exchange event with BAMCO.
This leaves us at loose ends on Friday afternoon/night. Might go over and see Kenny Belov over at FISH in Sausalito, but probably should stay in the valley.
Looking for your favorite chefs to either eat at or better yet, go meet with them and monger 'em some of our fresh live fish! Looking to bolster our new Silicon Valley route.
Typically, our chef/restaurant clients are white table cloth restaurants, but not always (though they will all have the pricing to afford a premium product/ingredient).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions - I know little to nothing of the valley...

Looks like we'll be heading over to our friends at smugmug's private kitchen for the afternoon on Friday now, but we'll be hungry that night! Where to eat?

for the valley, i think Martin's West in Redwood City is one of the best places. a few miles away, The Refuge is a good option (though i prefer MW.) Station 1 in Woodside just opened recently, his pedigree is strong, so that could be promising; everyone likes Village Pub a few doors down but i think it's over-rated.
if you want fancier than that, Manresa is one of the best in the country (my personal favorite in this country.) Dio Deka in Los Gatos is Greek with a California sensibility. Parcel 104 in Santa Clara is solid too & sounds like a place that might be able to use your product.

Thanks so much Chuck. I was in hopes that you would post with your insight. I'll look them up and make some calls. Thanks again.

I live off sand hill and the new hotel there is one of the hot spots that does well I think the place is called Madera. I would def recommend village pub in woodside and Marche in my home town. They all can be your customers.

Uggggh. Can't STAND Manresa. Way overrated. The chef there tries way too hard to be unique and apparently values that over quality. An example would be his FAIL of a soft boiled egg, runny and still in the half shell with maple syrup drizzled on top. Ugggh. I could get that combo from a drunk cook at an IHOP.
DioDeka is amazing however. They really deserved their Michelin star. I have been there 3 times and it has been great every time.
Scott's Seafood is okay and would be the first place I would go if I was selling fresh fish.
Madera is good too. Not amazing, but good.
Nicks on Main in Los Gatos is pretty good. Not a lot of seating but good. The meatloaf is actually damn good.Lamborghini Diablo
