Thread: Going to Chicago for the weekend what to eat?

My fiance and I are going to Chicago this weekend for a concert. We've been there before and had great success finding awesome restraunts but this time I want to take some recomondations of some of you guys. Let me know what your favorite spots are. We're looking for a nice place to go out just the two of us on saturday and somewhere with friends on thursday and friday.

Alinea or L2O. If you can get a table you cant go wrong with either one...alinea being the best.

Portillos is a must for a quick eat. its like fast food, but it is all fresh! and very amazing. id recommend an italian beef with peppers and cheese.

are you looking for classy nice places, or just some where fun?

Personally, I would do Mercadito -- Five Guys -- Red Mango - in that order.

I love nice restaurants, but its our chains and smaller places that set chicago apart.

Go to Publican with friends. Awesome ambience, food, and beer selection. If you go, make sure you order the pork rinds...freaking amazing!!
