So been wanting to go to The Hitching Post for a while and finally made it there for dinner last night. I had the 8 oz Filet Mignon and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. They grille over red oak so you get a lot of that flavor and the seasoning, which is a little salty, but the filet was soooooo tender. The place is off the beaten path in an older rustic building but it has a fun, down to earth, western feel. Great experience overall and well worth the trip if you're ever in the area, I'm looking forward to going back so if you're going and you need some company, let me know. Here's their website:
