The rolls generally contain the end trimmings/scraps that can't be used for nigiri or sashimi. As for uni, i just can't get into it.

My favorite roll is something that i make myself that is similar to a spicy tuna roll but i add avocado. I generally blend cut up pieces of tuna, chili garlic sauce, with some scallions, and kewpie mayonnaise. I use the chili garlic sauce instead of the Sriracha hot sauce that most sushi places use for a slightly different taste.

I agree not big into the rolls in general. I prefer the sushemi but I do like soft shell crab rolls.
