    I saw this article yesterday, and it looks like two Canadian establishments also made the list. And this one is about a half hour drive from my place! I wonder how tough it'll be to get reservations now...

    for the record - i think the list is crap, unorganized, and in no way truly represents the "best" restaurants. and the way they select the restaurants bears that out.

    however, for the curious, if you want to get a peak inside my mind - restaurants on this list that are in my personal top 10:

    forfend - alinea for impressing / 5 hour experience ; rick bayless restaurant for casual / good food.

    bullion - i can't say i'm a fan of the robuchon's (at least from price/performance perspective.) the list is made by journalists who are supposed to vote for places around the world,most probably having never been to the places they vote for - so it becomes a sort of popularity contest. w/r/t las vegas robuchon - it just isn't en vogue right now.

    Been to Noma, and it's not that gR8. Theres tons of small family restaurants that are 1000x better.
