    Thumbs up Ottimista-Enocteca

Spent the day up in San Francisco walking doing the tourist thing and capped the evening off at Ottimista-Enocteca MissyG and BSM place. We didn't get a chance to visit with them but they made sure we were well taken care of!

Some pictures of the inside before the crowd started to show up, with our table waiting and reserved for us!

Our waiter Michael suggested a nice Prosecco to start off the evening very nice a first time with a blush from Italy. Cuvée rosé brut, Il Follo, NV, Veneto

And some handcrafted salumi plate and Olives baked in Asiago pastry crust nice and they were spicy!

And we tried a nice white wine to go with the first course a Nosiola, Cesconi, Trentino a first for me again!

Everyone enjoying the wine and company!

On to the next wine and mid course! A 2004 ‘Gravello’ (Gaglioppo/Cabernet) Librandi, Val di Neto

And the main course I had the Ottimista braised pork with crispy
rosemary-mascarpone polenta...fantastic! Wifey had the Seared scallops with grilled corn and tasso ham risotto, Sweet tomato salad no pictures she ate to fast!

Of course we needed another wine to stand up to the braise pork and sauce! A 2003 ‘Radici’,Taurasi, Mastroberardino, Atripalda

So all I can say is if you're in the city stop in and give them a try great staff, excellent wine list to compliment the excellent food! What a great finish to a great day!

    Grazie e arrivederci!

Looks like a nice evening Craig. After seeing your pics I wish I didn't live so far from Ottimista! I LOVE that place. MissiG did an amazing job!

Hey Vik I agree 100% I like the neighborhood atmosphere very laid back but great food and wine! I think a Saturday drive up for lunch might be in order here soon!

    Braised pork and polenta

Looks awesome, thanks for sharing Craig. Is this in an area of town where I won't rip off my front bumper?

We stayed at the St. Francis so took a taxi I didn't really see any parking except on the street. I know MTK had the Scud there parked in front saw the picture so I would assume you can make it as well.

Yup - when everyone is back in town (post Gumball chaos) we'll get an L4P event on the calendar. And yes, Kirby, we would be honored to have you.
