The Black Label Burger comes at a price, but in this case according to Chuck, you definitely get what you pay for. Get there early though, fills up fast. Best bet could be eating at the bar.

Squeeze Inn (Galt and Sacramento, CA) is amazing and was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. They fry a nice big layer of cheese on the burgers. Pic below

I'll have to try that SF burger some time, as it's closer to home than NY.
Ever have the burger at Chaya in LA? That is not a bad piece of meat either.

guys, In'n'Out is ok for what it is but it is a Ford Mustang compared to Minetta's 911 Turbo.
the burger is $26 and it's worth every cent. the beef tastes like an incredible dry-aged steak. things like In'n'Out use industrial meat from dubious sources that are probably not aged; the Minetta burger uses prime cuts (ie, ribeye, etc) for a near-perfect taste.
the place is a huge scene and i guess getting a table is near impossible. i just went around midnight & ate at the bar.
AriA - no steak for two this time - but next time it will be a must. i've heard, from a few people who absolutely know what they're talking about, that it is the best steak in the country, including Peter Luger.
