    another dinner last weekend - not everything was perfect, but most of it was, one of the best, and most exciting, restaurants in the country:


    "summer fades to autumn"
    heirloom TOMATO tea, SHISO ice cubes, 'mutsu' APPLE


    "moon and stars" MELON, pressed and blackened
    preserved rind, 'mexican sour' GHERKIN, whipped coconut


    CAPSICUMS, d'anjou PEAR, and "new zeland" SPINACH
    creme fraiche, "lavendar: MINT, new oil


    our only "forono" BEET and last BEETBERRY
    red quinoa, "alpine" STRAWBERRY hazelnut


    "purple haze" CARROTs with gem avocado
    crispy OCA, "poha" BERRY, "eisley wax" CHILI



    the cookbook CALCOTS
    romesco of PIQUILLOS, maldon salt, tomorrow's news


    CELTUCE leaves and root, caesar style
    preserved lemon, miso, slow yolk, parmesan


    a SHITAKE from the barn in its natural juices
    BROCOLLI RABE, young RADISH, "red noodle" BEAN


    KOHLRABI and black FIG "ravioli"
    "hakurei" TURNIPS in SAGE brown butter, young bitter GREENS


    pain de courgette, homemade goat ricotta
    tiny SQUASHES, "sylvetta" ARUGULA, olive, BASIL


    SUNFLOWER seed "risotto"
    PETAL aformatta, smoked TOMATO, "TRIPE" alla romana

    I'm not quite sure what most of your meal consisted of, but it had popsicles so its ok in my book

    i doubt anyone was too influenced this thread but just a heads up - the chef left a few weeks ago.

    Yikes! Did he depart on good terms or were the seas stormy? I'll miss that epic pea dish.

    looks pretty bad. you can now get the desserts @ Manresa so not all is lost

    I've been wanting to try Manresa, since its 10 mins away but I'm pretty sure my better half wouldn't like it too much
