I have an invite to stay at Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley anyone ever stayed here? Would you stay there again?

Also Chef Cal Stamenov of Marinus Restaurant at the lodge is supposed to be really good so looking for feed back input.

Thank you chuck I figured you would have tried the restaurant

I heave eaten at what I think is called Maranus and was not impressed. But the facilites looked awesome.

yes, you did.

there were some differences between your visit and mine - the sous chef left and the main guy was cooking during my visit. afaik, the main guy is still cooking b/c he wants to be more involved in the restaurant.

every restaurant has its off days too - sometimes it's no better than the luck of the draw.

Chuck - Thanks for the review wife and I enjoyed the Chefs tasting menu with paired wines took some photos I will post some as I can. Great dinner! Wine was ok...

I believe this was the Large Eye Tuna excellent!
