I like The Spot in Encino. Really great hang out spot and the koobideh is BOMB!!!!

As for Dish Dash, went there a couple of times and was rather disappointed. Not my cup of tea.

I like Chelokababi in Sunnyvale for my Persian fix.

hmm I'm surprised you didn't like it, what do you usually order there? the foods that I tried there were all just ridiculously delicious ... haha

The last time I was there I had their lamb shank. It was sub-par to my liking. Meat was tender and fell off the bone, but the flavor was just not there.

Speaking of lamb, I recently had lunch at Kabul (Afghan) in Redwood City and it was really good there. A bit heavy and oily, but scrumptious.

I have not been to Aria. They opened the place recently. It used to be Pizza Uno (which I miss, need to go to Chicago to visit one now.)
I will have to give Aria a try.

If the folks at Chelokababi are not busy, they are one of the best. When they are busy, things don't taste as good.
