Thread: Pelican Hill Newport Coast

We have booked 14 days in a Villa here starting Christmas Day. Realize not the optimal time of year for this spot but planning on looking around for a spot to lease during summers especially after this one we are in in Tulsa OK this year. Over a month of 100+ and just worn out with it. Realize this has been abnormal however, it is always hot here in the summer months. Curious if anyone has stayed here and if anyone knows much about the golf courses as I do plan to play a few rounds. thanks in advance

Is there really no one out there that has any input on this resort? Anything constructive is appreciated.

pelican hill is in financial trouble and every time i go there i get a weird feeling like im the only one in the hotel. christmas time is a bit chilly and overcast in newport. a couple miles south is the st regis, which is pretty nice. if you golf like i do, then pelican has the better courses...

Thanks for that response. That makes sense given the deal that we got on one of the villa's however I realize not the optimal time to be there weather wise. Wife and daughter like the spa and myself the golf. We are actually there to look around the area for a recurring spot to visit during our blistering summers here in Tulsa. thx
