Dreams - Punta Cana
My father-in-law is getting married at Dreams Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and we're headed down there tomorrow.
It's our first time doing an all-inclusive, but it looks like it should be a blast. Anyone ever been here? If so, would love to hear your take on it, and any must do excursions and stuff..

Looks Great! My wife and I just got back from staying right down the road from where you will be. We stayed at RIU Palace Punta Cana and it was all inclusive. It is really secluded there and very beautiful. We did an excursion while we were there and we had one of our best times on it. We did the ATV excursion where you take 4 wheelers or Dune Buggies into the towns in the area and go through mud holes and stuff. You get to swim at a secluded beach and swim in a cave. I would recommend this to anyone who goes there. Just make sure you rent the dune buggies because you get muddier and its fast as hell. Also wear sunglasses for the dirt and don’t swallow the MUD! Long Story!
Also don’t be afraid to leave your resort even though they have everything you need. We went to dinner at a local restaurant that nobody spoke English and had no menu. It was the best meal we had there and for $14. We also went to a place they called the Mall which was great for buying things like souvenirs. Never pay what they say the price is. I got 4 things of jewelry that the guy wanted $155 dollars for it for only $40. Also, we bought 2 pieces of art for $100 that was listed at $250 or so.
If you are into golf then I suggest taking the clubs with you. There are tons of golf courses around. I played at Cap Cana and loved it which is about 1 hour from where you will be. I have pictures posted in my profile if you would like to see the course. It was by far the best course that I have ever played on and seen.
If you have any other questions PM me.Jason

Sounds awesome Jason, thanks for the info! I'm not a golfer, but I'm totally down for the ATV excursion..

Oh and try to do that excursion trip when you get there. Like early into the trip. Then please do something that my wife and I didn’t get to do. Get the name of the secluded beach that’s on that trip and go back. What I mean is from what the locals told me and from what I saw, you can take a day trip back to that beach and hang out for as long as you like. Hours of peace and quite, away from everyone else; and the water there is flawless. While there, a local has a shack and will go into the water, catch a fish, bring it back to his shack, clean it and cook it right in front of you for very little money. Please try it because we didn’t have anytime left in our trip to do it and I would love to here your story when you get back. Also, drink a Presidente beer while you are there. Best Pilsner I’ve ever had, if you like a pilsner beer.

Wife & I also stayed at RIU Palace great resort. You're going to love it in Punta Cana. Nothing like an all-inclusive resort.
Have Fun!!!andre@wheelsboutique.com
