St. Lucia or Turks and caicos
Need help deciding between the two islands. I will be spending a week there with the gf and prefer the resort to be quiet along with very few kids / families. I was considering other places like Los Cabos but want to stay away from crowded beaches filled with tourists etc. If I am wrong - let me know.

- St. Lucia: The Body Holiday
This one is all inclusive and includes a spa treatment every day, 3 meals and unlimited water activities. However, I wonder the quality of the food and the rooms since its all inclusive.

Hey Ash,
I've been to St Lucia. Its a nice place, so long as you stay on a resort or resort sponsored activities. The minute you leave the resort, its like driving through the slums. I would imagine its like this at a lot of places. We stayed at the sandals all inclusive, they allow you to go to all the sandals resorts, was a great time.

I've only been to St. Lucia and I can back up Tecthis statement about not wanting to leave the resort. Also the waters of St. Lucia are not the typical aqua blue you see throughout the the Caribbean. The waters are deeper around the island. The Turks is something I've been planning for sometime to visit. Everyone I've talked to says go soon because the island is being built up quickly. With that being said I will be in the St. Lucia area in about a month. (St. Vincent/Canouan) sailing the smaller islands around it.

If you haven't settle on these islands completely check out Ritz-Carlton on Grand Cayman best resort experience I've had yet to date! Total Ritz experience and you've got to eat at Blue!

Hi Ash,
I've been trying to decide on the same islands. Which one did you pick, and did you like it? I'm leaning more for Turks and Caicos since I heard they have great diving there.

We ended up doing St. Lucia - and it was a great time. Didnt do $h1t but relax on the beach, tons of body treatments, worked out, hit the beach for several hours.
Stayed the Le body Holiday resort for 10 days and it was one of the best times ever! Perfect weather and it was all inclusive meaning scuba diving / kayaking / jet skis / massages / well mixed drinks were unlimited at no additional cost!!!
The only this was the f&Kn plane ride where every other person was a couple on their honeymoon so it was SUPER cheesy - even the pilot welcomed the honeymooners!
Not much on night life but again the purpose is to un wind.
Tons of talent on the beach from the UK though!!!!!

Out of those two I would lean towards Turks...if you want really beautiful water and a more luxurious island i would go for cayman...you can get good deals on rooms at the ritz right now...if you need any info on cayman let me know i lived there for a bit

I'm going to a wedding in Miami in November, spending about 5 days there. Then I'm trying to figure out where to spend a week in the Caribbean. So many choices. We just want to sit on the beach, drink some good rum, and get in some diving.
