Nice Pics man. Those oceanview rooms at the Hilton Hawaiian Village provide great vistas for unwinding from the day.
You should have stayed a while, then you could have helped paddle one of those dragon boats at the annual races at the Ala Moana Beach Park.
Glad you had a good time. Short but sweet.
Maybe we'll meet up in Monterey at the Concorso if you are there.
AlohaYou only LIV 1S - Enjoy.

A little bit off topic, but on Thursday morning, we were packing up to leave the hotel, I saw a swarm of at least 5 F-15's leaving Hickam; they seemed to be conducting some sort of exercise.
Then in the Pacific just past Perl Harbor's outlet, the HUGE radar dome that was sitting atop of something akin to an oil rig, was heading out into the open ocean, just south of Oahu.
I had seen this thing up close and the radar appears to be almost as large as the Epcot Center's ball-shapped dome, only it was some 100 feet off the water; at the time, I didn't know it was mobile (you can see it to the far right of the large panoramic shot just left of the twin towers!).
At the Honolulu airport, one of those F-15 came with 300 ft. of our United Airlines gate (Gate 8A if you know the airport); it came in low, turned it's belly towards us, and then hit the afterburners!!!! I wish I had my camera out! But I thought "damn, that's really close and low for just showing off..."
When I returned home at SFO, I saw this:
U.S. boosts missile defense amid reports of planned N. Korea test - Los Angeles Times
Now it all makes sense. I was hearing "we're now at terrorist threat orange" but I figured it was another Al Qaida threat. They can still recomission the USS Missouri if need be...
