Chris is coming to Vancouver - Part 2!!! (I need drinking partners)
Yup, I'm coming to Vancouver.... again!!!
I will be heading there for the Olympics from Feb 24-27th.
Basically, it's a fantastic reason to meet up with members of the forum and party with all of you guys!
It's a tradition of mine to post up threads when I'm traveling and I'll be damned but I have truly met some of my best friends from the forum and I have some unbelievable stories and experiences to tell because of it. If any of you live in Vancouver or will be in the area then definitely let me know.
One of my best friends and fellow L4P'ers (Jake) or SiNzz on the forum, was generous as hell to invite me to stay with him this trip or there is no way I would be able to afford the lodging.
A few of us are in the works of setting up an L4P member meet while I'm there and then going out for the night to grab dinner and drinks. It will be an awesome time!
Some of you have contacted me already; you guys rock. PM me with your info or get in touch with me on Facebook.
Hope to hear from you all soon!

Just gave ya an add of FB Chris.
We can certainly make some dinner/drinks plans with L4P members.
Jake, if you chime in, any ideas for where to eat/drink?
Party at one of the Country houses?

It really depends on what we're looking to eat, and where we're planning to party. I've literally spent 36/48 hours downtown exploring/partying my ass off. It's insanity down there, and the prices to dine and party certainly reflect the nature of the Olympics
.
I will be checking out the Heineken House tomorrow and will let you guys know how that is...but really my impression is that anywhere, even the smallest downtown pub, will probably be a sweet place to hang. It feels like a 24/7 party and it's honestly an event just to get drunk and wander around the Granville strip with crazy drunk tourists sporting flags as capes, etc.. I'm not really partial to anything in particular.
On another note, I recognize that not everyone is going to be in the mood to be belligerent and go out partying. Perhaps we could gauge what everyone else wants to do, with some more input? In my opinion, it would be great to have the opportunity simply to put some faces to the names and maybe begin to build a bit of an L4P social network within the Lower Mainland.Last edited by SiNzz; 02-15-2010 at 06:11 AM.

Doesn't matter to me what we do.

I know there are definitely a few guys on the forum from the area! Hopefully they see this thread before then!

I'll be around so let me know what you guys are up to. I'm having an open shop day at my shop on the 27th so won't be available that day.

A quick update: I move that we hold the event either Thursday the 25th or Saturday, the 27th. While thoughts were initially just to make this a food/drink sort of social event (sans cars), the beautiful weather has prompted me to think that it might be nice to get a small cruise (doesn't have to be very long or distant) going that could be followed up by food/drinks/ whatever else people want to do. Any thoughts on either the dates or the event suggestions?
