Thread: Your thoughts/ success stories on China real estate market?

Anyone with experience in the real estate market in China? What are your thoughts? Success stories?

I have a very good friend who works solely with Chinese investors. He told me a few weeks back some of his clients are literally shipping out cargo containers packed with cash b/c they are so worried about the bubble there. I guess China has actually limited the amount of money you can send out, so it takes much much longer to move your assets. These investors would rather get their money out ASAP and possibly have a container seized than keep it there. We buy and flip REO's / foreclosures and we run into many Chinese investors looking to put their cash into California real estate.

This is second hand so I can not guarantee the validity. I have personally run into many Chinese investors buying up real estate (especially in LA county.) The market is so depressed here its a great time to buy.
