Default Question about electricty bill on a 13k sq/ft house

My friend is looking at a 13,000 sq/ft house and I'm trying to figure out an average of what he'd spend monthly on electricity. So, does anyone have a house this size or know anyone that does, that doesn't mind sharing that information (PM is fine)? I don't think he realizes what it'd actually cost.

you dont get to afford a 13k house by blowing your money on stuff like like keepiing your family comfy

    to the OP:
mine is around that same size (a bit larger) and it costs about 200 a month..but we are pretty good at conserving.

    200 a month?? I spend about that on my 2400 sq/ft house.

It's a brick house, built in 2005, located in central NC.

I'm only asking bc the house is CHEAPPPPPPPP and I was expecting the cost to be fairly high on utilities.

I know, its cheap. but like i said, we conserve. we live in texas. so summers might go up to 300 a month but thats rare...and we dont use the heater much during the winters. we use our fire places a bit more instead. we also have 4 zones (4 units) tranes so we shut of the areas that we dont use. forgot to add that most of our stuff is natural gas and that cheapens stuff a lot also.

there are a lot of variables also...location, gas vs electric (gas is so much cheaper) city vs county (i live in the county and am in the agricultural business so we get dirt cheap electricity and natural gas)

and 200 for a 2400 is crazy......when we had a 3000sqft house...our monthly bill was 60 and we were not even that conservative at that time.

It's not always around that and I guess that really is on the high end of the spectrum at 200. I've got electric heat too, not gas. I guess I was just expecting it to be higher. When i lived in Fort Worth my house was ~1800 sq/ft; I managed to get a $320 electric bill one July. Although that house was built in the 50's and the insulation sucked.

    Here's the house in question:
